Privacy Policy

All of your information is kept in accordance with GDPR and The Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) rules.

At Peak Health Physiotherapy we are committed to ensuring your information is protected at all times. We use a booking and medical notes based system called Cliniko. This is a secure database, where all information is accessed via an encrypted server. We also take additional measures at the practice to safeguard your data and medical notes to maintain confidentiality.

What are my medical notes?

We need to take in-depth medical notes about your history and clinical presentation. This is a requirement from the HCPC and The Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, to ensure evidence of your assessment, treatment and reasons for interventions. This allows us to reference these at future appointments to ensure you’re getting the best care possible. The HCPC requires us to keep these notes for seven years after your last visit.

Why do you need my personal information?

We will need to collect information like your address and date of birth. This is so we can identify each client as we can often have clients with the same name. This information will never be shared with a third party and is only used to identify clients.

Why do you need my email?

We need your email as this is how we communicate your appointment details with you. You don’t have to give this to us but we do find it beneficial to send booking reminders. Your email will never be shared with a third party.

If you need any more information please do not hesitate to get in contact.

Cancellation Policy

Should you wish to cancel your appointment we require at least 24 hours notice. We hope that you can appreciate that we still have costs associated with all appointments, whether they go ahead or not. Therefore clients will be charged the full amount of their appointment for any non-attendances or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.

We will try to accommodate clients who are late for their appointment however this is not always possible. Late attendance will result in appointment times being limited or maybe cancelled.
